Dicover Andorra through the best routes
When you arrive in Andorra, you will realize that there is a wide range of possibilities and routes to do. Beyond the well known center of Andorra la Vella, especially known for its shops, there are many mountains and natural spaces that are worth visiting. Here is a guide with the places you can not miss and the most popular routes with the best views:
The Iron Route: Park your motorhome near the parish of Ordino. The route of the Iron Route of the Pyrenees means a journey of about 4km at the same level that can be done without any difficulty. You will find iron sculptures and extraction mines related to the metallurgical industry, one of the main activities in Andorra from the 17th to the 19th century. This route is very easy; that’s why it’s ideal to do with children.
The path of «Toll Bullidor»: This is another family excursion of only 1 km to enjoy with the little ones. The starting point is on the bridge of the Molleres. The indicators will guide you to the first viewpoint: you will enjoy spectacular views of the town of Meritxell and the Sanctuary of the Patron Saint of Andorra. Following and skirting the river, you will reach another viewpoint, from where you can observe the water jump of the Toll Bullidor.
Route from Prats to Engolasters: This route has more difficulty and is 12km long. It takes about 4 hours to do the whole trip, so it is ideal to spend a morning or an afternoon in good company. The route starts in Prats. Along the itinerary, we pass through the parishes of Canillo, Encamp and Escaldes-Engordany. When you arrive at Engolasters Lake, you will find yourself in the middle of a very large natural area and valued as one of the most popular in the principality.
Adventure and relax: If you want to enjoy activities in nature, you can not miss visiting Naturlàndia. A fantastic option for both little ones and adults. Afterwards, you will deserve a moment of spa and relax ... go to Caldea, park your campervan in the motorhome parking right in front of you and enjoy this wonderful thermal center.
Relax in your campervan in the middle of nowhere
After enjoying these routes, what is better than going around with your campervan to some beautiful point of the mountain, relax in front of spectacular views and be able to cook and eat in the middle of nature?
